COLOMBO : A total of 311 students passed out as graduates in various disciplines from different universities in the world through the Metropolitan College in Colombo.
The convocation was held at the Nelum Pokuna auditorium in Colombo on Saturday, December 18 under the patronage of Parliament speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
The successful graduates had followed courses such as Psychology, International Relations, Business Management, Teacher Training, Early Childhood Education, English Language Teaching & Literature, Tourism & Hospitality Management, Marketing , Accounting M.Scs., MA in English , MBA , Degree Level, Diploma Level degrees.
In his keynote address Speaker Abeywardena said Metrolpoliant College is one of the best colleges in Sri Lankan which has been provding useful citizens in the region for several years.
The others who participated in the evening event included Metropolitan College Chairman and Former Mayor of Kalmunai Municipal Council Dr Siraz Meerasahib, State Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha, SLMC Leader Rauff Hakeem, Dr. Harsha De Silva M.P and Economist, H.M.M Harees M.P, first secretary qt the Saudi embassy, Dr. Khalid Al-Makki, former Governor of Eastern Province Rohitha Bogollagama and diplomats from the Turkish and Madlivian embassies were also present.
