The picturesque poolside terrace of Cinnamon Lakeside beautifully set up came alive with music, chatter and laughter amongst guests and staff who gathered for the meticulously organized Christmas cake mixing event held on 9th October that served as a delightful prelude to the upcoming festivities.
The staff armed with bowls of the Christmas cake ingredients ensured that guests not merely be witness to the splendid ritual by the hotel’s Chefs, but actively participate in the Christmas cake mixing. Massive wooden spoons were provided to mix the ingredients that were put into a half opened tunnel like elongated bowl, laid out across the sprawling lawn.
Although Christmas cake mixing is commonly ceremoniously held as an event by many hotels, the team at Cinnamon Lakeside in their characteristic style went a stretch further with this bold and novel style in which it was presented, outdoor. With even the weather holding well, all those who gathered were able to enjoy the spirit of the event to the brim, in good cheer.
NIshu Gunewardena, Manager Public Relations and Corporate Communications- Cinnamon Colombo Hotels was on hand ensuring that all present had a great time to embrace the commencement of the of the forthcoming festive season. “It is heartwarming to see the atmosphere was infused with joy and camaraderie as everyone joined in blending tradition with the magic of togetherness” she said visibly delighted with the crowd that had gathered..
A wide variety of hors d’oeuvres and festive sweets included the evening’s food menu for the guests to enjoy. Wines, red and white were served to the guests in style to match the predominant colour theme of the evening’s setting and some of the team’s attire. The joyful atmosphere set the mood for the oncoming season.
The excellent musical repertoire had most of the guests toe tapping. The Cinnamon Lakeside Team can be proud that their tireless efforts, towards the uniquely presented cake mixing event, were fruitful with the event being a resounding success.
