COLOMBO : The People’s Bank of China has approved a 10 billion Yuan currency swap with Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Ambassador to China, Dr. Plalitha Kohona welcomed the arrangement and stated that this is a welcome expression of confidence in Sri Lanka’s economy and an encouragement of prospective investors further energizing Sri Lanka’s economy. He appreciated the efforts made by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the People’s Bank of China for finalising the formalities remotely.
