COLOMBO : The Ceylon Baithulmal Fund awarded 230 Scholarships to University students selected from all over the country recently. The students were selected based on their excellent A/L academic performance, leadership qualities and family needs.
The Scholarship commitment is spread over a 30 to 54 months period depending on the course opted. Over the past 5 years the Ceylon Baithulmal Fund has granted University Scholarships to over 1000 students.
The Chief Guest at the event held on Sunday, 23rd February 2025 was Retired Justice Saleem Marsoof, President’s Counsel.
Mr. Reyaz Mihular, Chairman – National Hajj Committee was also present as the Guest of Honour along with CBF Committee Members M/S. Nazvi Rahman, Feroze Noon, Asaf Khan, A M A Nasry, Isfahani Anver, Dr. M A. Zainudeen and Rumaiz Mohideen.
