COLOMBO : The second phase of the University Scholarship program of the Ceylon Baithulmal Fund was successfully completed recently with 126 students from the 17 Universities Island wide being the beneficiaries.
This project was implemented in partnership with Muslim Hands Sri Lanka, an international non-governmental organization established in the United Kingdom in 1993 and now has spread wings to over fifty-two countries worldwide.
In total, the Ceylon Baithulmal Fund has been able to assist 356 students from the University intake batch 2024, who are in need of financial assistance to pursue their higher studies.
Dr Faisz Musthapha – President’s Counsel and Chancellor, Southeastern University of Sri Lanka graced the event as the Chief Guest which was held on the 18th May, 2025.
