COLOMBO: In a creative celebration of the enduring friendship between Viet Nam and Sri Lanka, the
Embassy of Viet Nam in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Foreign Employment and Tourism and the Colombo Times has organized a Logo
Design Competition.
This exciting event marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations
between the two nations and invites all Sri Lankans, both within the country and abroad, to
participate in crafting a symbol of unity and collaboration.
From March 1st to May 31st, participants have the opportunity to submit their artistic
interpretations that encapsulate the rich history and promising future of Viet Nam-Sri Lanka
relations. The winning logo will not only earn a place of honor but will also be featured in all
activities organized by the Embassy throughout 2025, showcasing the vibrant connection
between the two countries.
The competition promises to be a rewarding experience, with attractive prizes for the top
five designs. The first-place winner will receive a prize of 300 USD, while the second and third
places will earn 200 USD and 100 USD, respectively. The fourth and fifth places will be
awarded 50 USD each, ensuring recognition for a range of outstanding contributions. The
winners will be decided by a panel of judges, including representatives from the Embassy and
experts from the University of Visual and Performing Arts.
This initiative is a unique platform for Sri Lankan artists and designers, especially younger
generations to express their creativity while contributing to a significant diplomatic
milestone. The Logo Competition is more than just a contest; it’s a celebration of the cultural
and diplomatic ties that have flourished over five decades.
Participants are encouraged to draw inspiration from the shared values and mutual respect
that have long characterized the relationship between Viet Nam and Sri Lanka. As entries
flood in, the anticipation builds for a visual representation that will capture the essence and enduring partnership .
