COLOMBO – The Cabinet Ministers has approved a proposal to sign an agreement between Sri Lanka and Nepal to exempt holders of diplomatic, official and service passports from obtaining visas.
The agreement aims to further strengthen the friendly cooperation between the two countries and facilitate official travel by removing unnecessary obstacles in obtaining visas.
Under the proposed agreement, holders of diplomatic, official and service passports from both countries will be allowed to enter, transit and stay in the territory of the other country for a period not exceeding 30 days without a visa.
The proposal to sign the agreement was submitted to the Cabinet by the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs and received approval. Daily Mirror
