COLOMBO : British High Commisioner Sarah Hulton, while reacting to the oral statement made by UNHRC Commissioner Michelle Bachelot at the 48th session of the commissioner in Geneva on Monday, Sept,13, said :” The UK shares concern raised by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights at including action taken against protesters and critical voices. We will continue to press for progress on human rights and minority protections in Sri Lanka.”
The High Commssioner called for “concrete actions” by the Sri Lankan Government on accountability and institutional reforms.
