NEGOMBO- A massive protest was held in the coastal town of Negombo requesting the government to step down considering the hardships of the people.
People from all faiths including their respective leaders and clergies gathered in hundreds in the mass demonstration held un Green Street on Saturday morning on April 9.
Speaking on the occasion Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said that those who came to power through foul means are unable to consolidate the power. “ This is the curse since people were misled after the Easter Sunday bomb attack saying that only the Muslim community was responsible, while the real players wer behind the scene,”he said.requestimg the government to reveal the real culprits responsible for the attack.
