COLOMBO – The Opening Ceremony of Harmony Center was held at the Borella Jumma Masjid on Tuesday September 5.
It was held under the patronage of President of the Borella Jumma Masjid Al Haj. M.R.M. Awthad.
Secretary of the Masjid Al Haj. M.S.M. Irfan delivered the welcome address.
All Ceylon Jamiyaththul Ulama President Ash Sheik M.I.M. Rizvi Mufthi, Secretary Ash Sheik Arkam Nooramith, Nida Foundation Secretary Ash Sheik Murshid Mulafer and Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Department Director Z. A. Mohamed Faizal also addressed the gathering.
Officer in Charge of Borella Police Janaka Withanage, Lady Ridgway Hospital Director Dr. G. Weerasooriya and Staff, Castle Hospital Director Dr. Ajith Danthanarayana , Government Printers Department Deputy Government Printer Mrs. B.M.N. Balasooriya and Staff were praised the trustees of Masjid organize this event and request to organize more programmes in the future.
