Berjaya University College Malaysia participates in Education Fair in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO — Berjaya University College (BUC) and Berjaya TVET College (BTVET) participated in the Education Fair organised by Education Malaysia Government Services recently at Hotel Sapphire in Colombo, 

Marshad Barry Vice President of the Malaysia Business Council visited the University stall on the invitation and expressed his views, he mentioned “University like Berjaya welcome to cater the demanding educational needs of Sri Lankan student who are looking forward their carrier growth in their life” also he thankedk them for participating in this particular event, showcasing the opportunities for the Sri Lankan student community. Malaysian High Commissioner of Sri Lanka  Badli Hisham Adam and Norlela Binti Baharudin Executive Director, Berjaya Corporation Berhad also present at the event.

Berjaya University College (BUC) and Berjaya TVET College (BTVET) are strategically located in Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are subsidiaries of Berjaya Group, one of Malaysia’s largest conglomerates with diversified interests across various business sectors in Malaysia and internationally, namely in properties, hospitality, retail and services.

BUC commenced operations in November 2008 and has since produced 2000 graduates from 2012-2023. BUC offers 23 programmes from Foundation to PhD level under 4 faculties, i.e. Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism, Faculty of Business, Faculty of Culinary Arts and Faculty of Education & Arts. There are 3 intakes per year: January, May & September. BUC programmes comprise an innovative academic and industry-based curricula, providing students with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience to prepare them for industry relevant careers. “Berjaya Immersion Methodology” teaching and learning approach ensures a seamless transition from Classroom learning to the professional world. BUC has been awarded “Berdaya Saing”, meaning a competitive rating in “Setara” by the Ministry of Higher Education and achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management system.

BTVET commenced operations in September 2016 and has since produced 1000 graduates. BTVET provides technical and vocational education and trainings, focusing on practical knowledge and skillsbased learning of students. With easy entry requirements, School of Culinary Arts and School of Management and Technology offer skills proficiency programmes certified by the Ministry of Human Resources. BTVET is also an approved centre for City & Guilds, UK certifications. There are 4 intakes per year: February, May, August and October. Exclusive career opportunities and internships are provided to BUC and BTVET students within Berjaya Group of Companies for industry exposure not only in Malaysia, but also through Berjaya companies worldwide.
