COLOMBO – The Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka organized 104th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day at the mission’s premises on Sunday March 17.
It was held under the patronage of the High Commissioner of Bangladesh Tareq Md Ariful Islam.
Children’s presented various cultural programmes and the High Commissioner and senior journalist Daya Dissanayake presented prizes for the children who took part in various contests.
Colombo Times Chief Editor and Arab News Colombo Correspondent Mohammed Rasooldeen, Sunday Times Deputy Editor Ameen Izzadeen and media personnel including High Commission officials and community members and invitees were present.
