NEGOMBO : on an initiative made by Pushpakumara and Mohammed Shafeek, a public library was opened in Bammanne village with an allocation of Rs 1.4 million from the Pannala Pradeshiya Sabha . Its Chairman LMSK Lansakara inaugurated the library in the presence of parents and students.
The first book from the library was lent to a female student .
Pradeshiya Sabha member Mohammed Shafeek also addressed the gathering .
