Azath Salley Foundation distributes dry rations to 6,000 needy families

COLOMBO : Azath Salley Foundation distributed more than 6,000 packs of dry rations to deserving people in Sri Lanka on Wednesday, April 19 in Colombo.

The programme was launched in Colombo at the New Town Hall by its founder and former Western Province Governor Azath Salley.

Speaking to Colombo Times, Salley said that this is being held for the 19th consecutive year by the foundation to help deserving Muslims during the month of Ramadan.

Salley said some 2000 packs were distributed in Colombo and the balance 4,000 will be given to deserving people in other parts of Sri Lanka in places such as Batticaloa and Kandy
