Association of Sri Lankan Graduates from Socialist Countries (ASLGSC) conducts medical camp for Ditwa victims

COLOMBO – A Free Medical Camp to support families affected by Cyclone DITWA was successfully held at Galwana රජ මහා විහාරය, Mulleriyawa on Saturday January 24 bringing timely and compassionate healthcare to those who needed it most.

Organized by the Association of Sri Lankan Graduates from Socialist Countries (ASLGSC) in collaboration with the MOH Office – Gothatuwa, the Project Management Institute (PMI), and with the support of the Ministry of Health, the initiative delivered essential healthcare services to flood-affected residents—completely free of charge.

A dedicated team of 35 doctors and 7 medical consultants, all graduates of Russian universities, served over 300 patients, providing:

Laboratory services were carried out with the support of the Ministry of Health and Hemas, ensuring accurate and reliable testing.

All patients were provided with necessary medicines, free of charge, ensuring continuity of care beyond diagnosis.

Together, we stand for compassion, service, and resilience—reaching communities when it matters most.
