Arab News has reached new heights under the leadership of Faisal J Abbas- Lankan envoy in Saudi

COLOMBO: Sri Lankan Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Packeer Mohideen Amza who met the Editor-in-Chief of Arab News; Faisal J Abbas told Colombo Times that he had cordial discussions with the media giant on improving the bilateral ties between the two countries.

Amza had paid a courtesy call on the Arab News chief at his Riyadh headquarters in the Saudi capital on March 6, Sunday.

The envoy said that Abbas who meets world leaders often was really interested in developing the Lanka-Saudi relations in social, economic, political and tourism sectors.

“ I am really happy to have met a media star who is a real friend of Sri Lanka and I have extended an invitation to him to visit Lanka at his earliest convenience,”Amza added

The ambassador said that Arab News has reached new heights under the leadership of Abbas and pledged to give his best cooperation for future progress.

In a tweet following the meeting, the Arab News said :” Sri Lankan Ambassador Packeer Mohideen Amza met Arab News Editor-in-Chief, during his visit to the newspaper’s HQ in on Sunday. They discussed Saudi-Sri Lankan relations and positive changes in the Kingdom on cultural, social and scientific fronts.”
