COLOMBO — The Old Girls’ Association (OGA) of Ananda Balika Vidyalaya, Maradana, Colombo, organized a Blood Donation Camp on Thursday, September 17, to mark the 162nd birth anniversary of Srimath Anagarika Dharmapala. The event was held at Ananda Balika Vidyalaya under the patronage of the school Principal, Mrs. W.B.G. Kumuduni.
The programme included religious observances conducted by members of the Maha Sangha, who also delivered sermons highlighting the life, contributions and dedicated servicesof Srimath Anagarika Dharmapala to the Buddha Sasana and the nation .
A large number of donors participated in the blood donation campaign, demonstrating their commitment to serving the community and supporting this worthy cause.
Vice President Anuja De Silva, Secretary Nayana Jayanetti, Treasurer Sureni Geethani, Event Coordinator Thanuja Meegoda, and several members of the OGA, including teachers and students of the school, were present at the event.
