All- Ceylon YMMA Conference forms Disaster Management Unit – Coordinating Centre- to help the flood victims- Philanthropists urged to join the venture

COLOMBO : The All – Ceylon YMMA Conference formed a Disaster Management Unit – Coordinating Centre on Friday, Nov. 28 to help those families who have been rendered victims of the ongoing floods in several parts of the island. r

The Chairman of the Coordinating Center , Anver Sadath said that the body was formed to help the people who have become victims of the ongoing floods affecting thousands of families.

The All Ceylon ACYMMA Conference has activated its Disaster Management relief coordination Unit and has established temporary shelters for displaced individuals and families in Colombo

Selected places for the displaced victims include

  1. Hameed Al Husseini College
  2. Badurdeen Mahmud College, Colombo 13
  3. Darussalam Centre, Maligawatte
  4. St. Sebastian College, Colombo 12

Sadath further said : “ We are currently providing emergency care ,food, boat service, and shelter to flood-affected victims and urgently seek the support of generous donors and partners to meet their critical needs.”

*Immediate Requirements include
✅ Cooked Food (individual or bulk packs)
✅ Dry Rations (rice, dhal, canned goods, etc.)
✅ Medicines (basic first aid, prescriptions for the sick, etc.)
✅ Other Essentials (mats, blankets, hygiene kits, etc.)
