All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama has extended its heartfelt condolences and sincerest sympathy to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, to the esteemed Royal Family, and to the government and people of the brotherly State of Qatar, on the passing of His Highness the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. May Allah have mercy on his soul and grant him a place in the highest gardens of Paradise.
In offering this condolence, All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama reflects on the deep bonds of brotherhood and warm relations shared between the peoples of Sri Lanka and Qatar, and acknowledges the generous support Qatar has extended toward development, education, and humanitarian work in our country and among global communities around the world.
We remember the late Sheikh Hamad for the remarkable legacy he left in service to his nation, and for his pioneering role in the era of growth, development, and humanitarian endeavor that established Qatar as a nation of renown and distinction.
We pray that Allah, the Almighty, envelops the departed in His vast mercy and forgiveness, and rewards him abundantly for all he gave to his nation and his Ummah. We further pray that Allah grants His Highness the Amir, the Royal Family, and the people of Qatar patience and solace in this time of loss.
Verily, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.
