COLOMBO : These three women were among those arrested near the Parliament junction on Thursday when they took part in a protest against the Kotelawala National Defence University Bill. In the process of the arrest by the police, some of their clothes were torn off. They were produced in courts later in the day and granted bail. But police sent them for quarantine at an Air Force facility in Mullaitivu thereafter. They were provided clothing by the Air Force.(Courtesy Sunday Times)
