COLOMBO : Popular actor Bandu Samarasinghe has been appointed as Sri Lanka’s Consular General in Milan, Italy, according to a local daily on Thursday,April 14.
Sri Lanka’s Consul General position in Milan fell vacant after musician Neela Wickremasinghe passed away earlier this year while in service.
Bandu Samarasinghe supported President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in the last presidential election. So far no official announcement has been made about the new appointment.
