COLOMBO : For any Muslim, embarking on Hajj is the ultimate dream—a sacred, lifetime journey you spend years preparing for, both financially and spiritually. I was fortunate enough to be one of the 70 Sri Lankan pilgrims who recently made this blessed pilgrimage. Looking back, I can honestly say that our spiritual experience was profoundly elevated, all thanks to the incredible care, meticulous planning, and deeply supportive leadership of Moulana Travels, Dehiwala.

One of the biggest blessings of our trip was the exceptional accommodation strategy. Anyone who has been for Hajj knows how exhausting the commutes can be, but Moulana Travels took that burden completely off our shoulders by ensuring our hotels were strictly within the Haram boundaries.
Makkah: We were treated to an exceptional stay at the five-star Movenpick hotel, situated directly within the iconic Clock Towers. Having such unprecedented, easy access to the mosque for daily prayers made a world of difference.
Madinah: We stayed at the four-star ODST hotel. Just like in Makkah, it was perfectly located to keep us close to the sacred space.
Because we weren’t wasting our energy on long-distance commutes, we could maximize every single hour in worship, prayer, and quiet reflection.
Rising Above the Chaos: True Care in Muzdalifah
The real test of any Hajj operator is how they handle the intense, high-pressure days at Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. Logistical arrangements at these sites are legally dictated by local Saudi authorities, meaning a lot of things are out of an agency’s direct control. Yet, this is where the management of Moulana Travels truly went above and beyond for us.
While we watched many neighboring tour groups left to navigate the rugged, rocky conditions of Muzdalifah entirely on their own, our team was constantly on the move, monitoring our comfort. In an extraordinary display of proactive care, they actually managed to secure and lay down carpets across our entire designated area in Muzdalifah. Being able to rest comfortably during that crucial overnight stay was a massive relief and a luxury we didn’t take for granted.

What truly made this journey a success was the hands-on, compassionate approach of the leadership and guiding team. We never felt like just clients; we felt looked after like family.
Sayyed Naazir Moulana (Owner): He personally joined us right after the core Hajj rituals, stepping in on the ground to ensure every detail was functioning at the highest standard.
Al Haj Ifkhan Marikkar (Overseas Manager): He did a splendid job orchestrating complex logistics behind the scenes. No matter the time of day, he was constantly available and responsive to our needs.
Spiritual Guidance: Our historical sightseeing trips (Ziyarat) were thoroughly organized, deeply illuminating, and brought to life by heart-rendering, informative bayaans . We were incredibly blessed to be guided by a stellar team of scholars: Asshaik Akram Naleemi, Asshaik Farook Huwairis Al Hasani, and Sheikh Akram Abu Bakker. Their vast knowledge, patience, and warm demeanors transformed standard sightseeing into a deeply reflective educational experience.
