
COLOMBO ; A group of 15 youth leaders, headed by the director of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs, M S M Nawas left for Malaysia to follow a two- week course Islamic affairs on Saturday. October 4.
The team is currently being hosted at the Institute of Islamic Training Malaysia (ILIM) to follow a course on Islamic Affairs in Malaysia: Governance & Administration . The programme is scheduled from 5th to 19th October 2025 at the ILIM Main Campus, Bangi, Selangor.
This two-week program is designed to provide participants with comprehensive insights into Malaysia’s Islamic governance and administrative framework, highlighting the nation’s distinctive approach to integrating Islamic principles into governance and public administration.
Throughout the course, delegates will take part in lectures, discussions, study visits, and interactive sessions with experts from key Islamic institutions in Malaysia. The program also serves as an excellent platform to strengthen bilateral ties, share best practices, and enhance mutual understanding between Malaysia and Sri Lanka in the field of Islamic affairs.
