COLOMBO – A long-cherished dream of a dedicated play area for the Primary Section of Darussalaam College became a reality on this auspicious day of 1st October, in harmony with the World Children’s Day.
The ceremonial opening was officiated by Dr. Razeen Anver, President and Managing Trustee of the Maligawatte Jumma Masjid, marking a milestone in the school’s journey of growth and enrichment.
This noble initiative was realized through the magnanimous sponsorship of Basheer Ahamed, Treasurer of the Masjid, whose generosity came in response to the appeal of the Principal of Darussalaam College, Ahmed Nibraz.
The distinguished presence of the Vice Presidents of the Masjid, A. H. M. Maheer and A. H. M. Iqbal, together with the Assistant Secretary, Farhath Siddique, Project Coordinator, Razmi Rafeek, members of the administration, and the devoted faculty of the school, lent further glamour and dignity to the occasion.
This landmark event not only heralds a new chapter for the children of Darussalaam College but also stands as a shining testament to the spirit of service, generosity, and commitment that continues to illuminate the path of the Maligawatte Jumma Masjid and its leaders.
