Board of directors appointed to the SLBFE

COLOMBO : Manusha Nanayakkara, Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment has appointed seven members to the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment on Friday, June 3.

Letters of appointment were handed over to the new Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment by the minister on the same day

Among the seven members of the Board, three of whom are professionals and the other four are in the foreign employment trade.

Mohamed Hilmi was appointed Member of the Board of Directors and Vice-Chairman of the Bureau of Foreign Employment, having previously served as Chairman of the Bureau of Foreign Employment.  He is also a Director of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology and a Director of Abdul Aziz Brothers.

Appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bureau of Foreign Employment, Jeff Gunawardena is a businessman with experience in the diplomatic service.  He has also served as Consul General of Sri Lanka to the United States, Venezuela and Colombia, and has served as Director of Airports and Airlines.

Appointed as a member of the Board of Directors, Senior Attorney Sandun Gamage graduated from the University of Colombo with a degree in Law.  With 26 years of experience in the legal field, he has also served as a Director of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka, Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka.

Hemantha Sapumohotti, A.L.A.  M. Hassam, Mohammad Fazli and Mohammad Arshad were appointed to the Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment representing the trade of Foreign Employment.
