NEGOMBO : A 28 year old young man died of Covid virus without any symptoms, the Negombo Police announced here on Monday.
According to A.U.K Gunaratne, public health inspector of the area told Colombo Times that the patient was admitted to the Negombo government hospital on complaints of chest pain.
On admission, the patient had died and the posthumous PCR tests had revealed that the deceased was suffering from the Covid virus.
The public health inspector further explained that the authorities had to conduct another PCR test at the IDH hospital in Colombo on a request made by the relatives of the deceased. The second PCR tests too proved positive and the authorities cremated the remains in Negombo on Monday morning.
