MELBOURNE – 1983 born Sri Lankans on facebook organised a successful day- programme at Apeksha Cancer Hospital Maharagama for the second consecutive year on July 29.
This programme was for the children who are cancer patients, taking treatment at the facility.
This year total donation was Rs. 3.5 million from which 130 Children who are in ward received a cash donation of Rs.20,000/- each and 35 children who are in house received Rs.15,000/- each also a bag containing toys were distributed to children.
The group comprised popular musicians and artistes who entertained the child patients . Musical entertainment with various activities for children was the highlights of the event to keep them happy .
