COLOMBO: The 156th Police day religious observances were performed at Shaikh Usman Waliyullah shrine (Deawatagaha Mosque) near Town Hall,Colombo 7,on Saturday, September 3.
IGP C D Wickremarne was present with his senior officials at the shrine to get the blessings.
Following the performance of rituals,a plaque was given by the Chairman of Dewatagha Mosque, Reyyaz Salley to the IGP. A golden shawl was also drapoed on the senior most police officer by SSP A.M Nawas who is also a board of trustee of the mosque.
Senior Dig Nandana Munasinghe,SSP Jawfer,SSP M A M Nawas ASPs M G R Mohamed and Tuan Meedin were also present at the event,
